Death Penalty: A Father's Last 24 Hours

This was the saddest day of my life. My son was going to be executed tomorrow. My son was Brian Ötker Karlsson and I’m Benny Ötker Karlsson. My son has always wanted to be a doctor, because he loved to help people. I sat in my house in Sweden and was watching TV-shop and suddenly I saw a commercial for an American website. The website sold tickets so you could come and watch an execution. I would never do anything like that. I sat and looked at the website for an hour or maybe two. I looked at the clock and saw that it was 19:00 which means news. I found the channel CNN. It was the news from America. I didn’t really care much about the American news. I was interested in the world news. But one spot caught my attention. I only heard the name Brian and it was enough for me. I knew that Brian wasn’t an American name. It could only be a Scandinavian. In the spot they said that it was a highly trained doctor. Now I was a little nervous. They showed a short clip with the doctor and even when his face wasn’t shown I knew that it was him. My son. My adorable son. Brian Ötker Karlsson. CNN said that my son sat in a prison called Texas State Prison.
