It is a 1 month since I moved to Miami and I must say it’s different to live here. It was hard, because I had no one to talk to. But well after 1 month I am starting to get some friends. It was hard to say goodbye to all my friends in Denmark, but I also know that my father really dreamed of living in Miami. Here he has several opportunities with his company. My brother finished high school this summer and he is glad that we can stay here for a year. My mom is still in work and her dream is to start her own hairdresser. We live in a large apartment, were we can look to the beach. We are often down and take sun, but from 12-15 o'clock it's too hot. I started at 9 grades, the level is the same as in Denmark, but we must speak English constantly. I miss my old school at home in Denmark, but it's also exciting to try something new. As I wrote in the beginning, I have some new friends, Jöel, Adam and Bryan. They are really nice and easy to talk with. I met them at school and they've got me on their football team. It's very exciting to learn new people. I also got 2 other friends, Samantha and Carla. I met Carla and Samantha to a party the other day. They are incredibly helpful and very charming. My father is almost never home because he makes new products. My brother has started to talk to a girl, and they are much together. My mother is the only one at home. We are often out to shop, and my mother promised me a tattoo before we go home. I have seen Miami tattoo in the television before and they are really good and i become completely fascinated when I saw what they can do. I hope that my friends are doing well at home. I miss the food, girls and especially my dog. The Football team here is not the same, but I hope they win at home. I miss the entire things home, but I will enjoy the time in Miami. I have already experienced a lot and I am looking to get more experiences. I've always been told that the first few months are the worst, and that is correct. I cry sometimes because I miss my friends and my family, but when the year is over here, I'm also going to miss it here. I have already come close to some of the boys and I hope we still are friends when I'm flying home to Denmark again. But now I will enjoy the time here and go to football with my friends.End of Diary
