When I woke up, I found out that I was 15 minutes late. So I took a quick shower, and ran down to Starbucks. Luckily no customers were waiting outside, so I changed to the uniform, got ready and opened the shop.
Christine came a bit later because she had bin to a meeting the day before and she had slept at the hotel where the meeting took place. Usually she’s the one who wakes up first and I think that’s why I woke up a bit too late. We normally have an everyday routine at our apartment; she wakes up and takes a bath, and when she is done, I will get up and take a bath. When we are ready to go, we lock the door and go down to Starbucks which take about 10 minutes.
I love the fact that I work with my best friend, because we are always together and we are really like brother and sister. It is so weird to think about the fact that only three years ago, we both sat with a dream of moving to New York and settling down there. And now we are sitting here in the middle of Manhattan, with a job, new friends, a great apartment and a whole new life.
