After reading 3 reviews done by 1 Danish and 2 English persons I felt I could easily manage to point out what I feel is right and wrong. What I mean by right and wrong is my whether I agree upon the writers’ opinions or disagree.
Robbie Collin, a writer for The Telegraph points out in his review; “Stone is sparkling as Skeeter: she deftly defuses the role’s potentially condescending overtones, proving that at 22, she’s already a compelling and capable leading lady.” I absolutely agree that Emma Stone acts the role of Skeeter very good; she almost manifests into her while acting and completes the role of Skeeter. She creates a very nice chemistry between her role Skeeter, her mother and the other bridge girls.
Robbie also says, I’ll quote “And Davis, as Aibileen, gives the often-broad dialogue some serious emotional purchase: the last time she tells an unloved, chubby, white two-year-old in her care “You is kind, you is smart, you is important,” my bottom lip was wobbling even more than the toddler’s.” I personally felt the same way Robbie did, it was a really touching moment, as well as when Aibileen got fired for “stealing”, where the toddler cried for Aibileen to come back. Earlier in the movie the two-year-old also said “You’re my only mummy”. I also felt for the child there, the mother was careless and left her child to be raised by a maid.
