There had been a fight between my older brother David and one of his old friends Kevin at the

school. My dad was angry. Rector had called to say that my dad should pick David up from school

because he had punched Kevin. I really didn’t understand that he was becoming such a jerk… We

always have had a good relationship to each other. Our parents didn’t live together anymore.

They were divorced about two weeks ago. That’s almost the reason why we talked so much

together after that. But suddenly he was reacting like that, and I just couldn’t stand that he was

being so unserious about everything. Since mother moved he had been making fun about

everything, like he doesn’t care about anything and anyone. I was scared. David never used to

fight and especially not with Kevin!

I really wanted to help David, so the day after, I tried to talk with him. I asked him so many

questions about why he punched Kevin and why he had been so sad and mad. But he just

answered, “I’m not mad!” and “why do you ask?” Then I tried to talk with Kevin. I just didn’t

understand what was wrong. Kevin didn’t know either. He said that he was trying to talk with
