'Temple of Tears': analyse af reaktioner på 9/11

In the story do we experience the tragedy of 9/11 in different ways.

It is not a story from the mid of the catastrophe, but a story that takes place more than two thousand miles from the twin towers. It is a story that didn’t describe how the terrorist attacks the twin towers, but a story that describes the feelings that is included in a worldwide tragedy as that one the day in September 2001.

People are different and react in different ways, when something touches their feelings. The different between how the main character and he’s girl Zoe react is big. That Zoe was the death near for less than two weeks ago, have definitely affected her. That the main character isn’t affected of what happens in New York did only get him looks like a jerk.

Under the burning man festival do we hear Zoe saying things, that shows how she was the psychically death near.

“My thermostat is broken,"

"And I feel like I'm falling, even when I'm sitting down. If I shut my eyes I might forget to open them."

All this could be a thing that men and women’s, that sad in the twin towers or near by when the attack took place may have felt.
