Something was coming this way… I heard some leafs rustle, I saw some eyes looking straight at me. I tried to run, but when I turned around I saw a horde of monkeys. They had surrounded me, and all I could do was to lay down on the ground and pretend to be dead. I did that because in school they always told me that if a met a wild animal, I should pretend to be dead. There was only one problem, the monkeys wasn’t so stupid. They took me whit them to a very strange place. It was a old temple, perhaps from the old Mayas who lived there long time ago. In the middle of the ruin there was a huge beautiful throne. The monkeys put me there and gave me some cold water from a river near the temple. The monkeys showed me a old stone whit a human face painted on. The human face actually look a bit like me, and that’s maybe the reason the monkeys took me whit them instead of killing me. At the evening I was very tired, and I slept on some banana palm leafs. The next morning I still was very tired. I woke up many times in the night because I heard strange sounds from the trees. At breakfast I had some coconuts and a few mangos. The coconuts tasted bad, but the mangos tasted excellent. When the clock was about 12 the monkeys took me to the river and taught me how to catch fish whit bare hands. In the start it was very hard, but after 30-50 tries I suddenly caught a fish. The monkeys looked very exited at me. But after I caught 10 fish they didn’t looked at me more, and I decided to stop. I gave 9 of the fish to the monkeys and kept the biggest for myself. Now I knew what I would eat in the evening. I cooked the fish over a little fire. It tasted very good and I didn’t was hungry before I slept. I now lived on that way for about 14 years, and If you are lucky u can see me in the big forest near Nelspruit.
