I have chosen to write about the world-renowned British blues-rock guitarist, singer, songwriter and composer "Eric Patrick Clapton" born in Ripley-Surrey England - better known as Mr. Slowhand. Clapton has played with a lot of famous musicians, among others, Bob Dylan, John Lennon, BBKing, George Harrison, Jimi Hendrix and Pete Townshend. Clapton has throughout his whole life acted as a musician. He is one of the musicians that I admire very much, because of his way to play blues music.
Clapton has since the late 1960s, achieved fame as a member of "The Yardbirds, John Mayall's Bluesbreakers, Cream, Blind Faith, Delaney, Bonnie & Friends, and Derek & the Dominos". He subsequently acted since 1974 as a soloist. He has nevertheless remained a major break with his music and concerts, among other things because of the loss of his son, 20th March 1991, who died in a fall from 53rd floor of an apartment.
In his 13th birthday, Clapton received his first acoustic guitar, a “Hoyer”, made in Germany. But learning the steel-stringed instrument was very difficult and he almost gave up. But in a early age he was s influenced by the blues and practiced the guitar in long hours to learn chords and copied too other blues artists technologies, that he had listened to on his tape recorder. Clapton has been influenced by many guitarists, as so: “Stevie Ray Vaughan, Gary Moore, Duane Allman, Derek Trucks, Eddie Van Halen, Orianthi, John Mayer, Brad Paisley, and Alex Lifeson.”
