James Bulger was a two years old boy from Kirkeby in England. He was killed by to 10 years old boys in 1993. James disappeared from a Shopping Centre in Bootle near Liverpool. The two boys approached him and spoke to him, before taking him by the hand and leading him out of the precinct. James was abducted, tortured and murdered by the two boys. Two days after his murder he was found on a railway line.
The two boys were never in school and they were often seen stealing sweets and some other things. Some of the things they stole were later found at the murder scene.
During the walk across Liverpool, the boys were seen by some people. Bulger had a bump on his head and was crying, but most of the people did nothing, they just thought that he was a younger brother. Two people challenged the older boys, but they said that Bulger was a younger brother or that he was lost and they were taking him to the local police station. At one point, the boys took Bulger into a pet shop, from which they were ejected. After that they hesitated and led Bulger up a steep bank to a railway line near the disused Walton & Anfield railway station where they began torturing him. They stamped on him, and throw stones at him. They put batteries in Bulger's mouth and the police thought that some batteries may have been in his anus, although none were found there.
