Faith. Faith is the most important thing in a relationship between husband and wife, girlfriends and boyfriends. Everyone. Knowing that you can trust the people you are circling around everyday. It is important to have people on you side; you can rely on if something awfully happens. That is what this short story is about. It is written by Olaf Olafsson and it was published in the year of 2008.

Margret and Oskar is a married couple with a six-year-old child, Jonas. They live in a cabin, up a hillside near a lake and Margret’s parents. They live what could be conceived as a peacefully life because of the setting. Margret had always known the place, she had spent her childhood summers by the lake with her mother and siblings and she hoped it would be the same for her and Oskar. Margret is good mother. She loves her child Jonas and her husband Oskar. She is trying to give Jonas a good childhood as she had herself. Oskar is a typical father. He takes Jonas down fishing. But he isn’t so fun and as playful as Jonas wished he was. Oskar wants to be a good father, and he want’s to impress Jonas. Jonas is a spoiled child, he is a lonely child and his mother and father loves him so much, they will do anything for him. Maybe does Oskar feel a pressure when Margret is searching for a perfect family, and she is so conscious about it has to be like her mother and fathers lives. To emphasize that, Jonas is named after Margret’s father who also loved fishing.
