Australia Blue Mountains: The Blue Mountains is listed because of the famous eucalypt vegetation. It covers more than 10.000 square kilo meters, and stretches for 220 kilo meters from North to South. Includes the largest wilderness (Wollemi Wilderness), in the eastern Australia between Cape York Peninsula and the island Tasmania. It lies in the state New South Wales and only 60 kilo meters from the centre in Sydney. Blue Mountains has been inhabited by Aboriginal people for at least 12.000 years.
