A 10 year old black girl Tonya Hailey is viciously raped and beaten by two white racist rednecks, Pete and Billy Ray. After Tonya is found, she inlaid in hospital. The doctors said that because of Tonya’s reproductive organs are damaged and she will not be able to have children when she grows up. The perpetrators Pete and Billy Ray are found at a bar and is arrested and called into the courtroom. Daughter's father, Carl, remember a case when four white men raped an African-American girl and got acquitted, and will not let that happen in this case. Therefore, Carl goes through the court building's basement with an assault rifle, and he kills Pete and Billy Ray for what they did to Tonya. Carl is later arrested at his house and is placed in the dock. Carl chooses a lawyer in his case, as Jake, who has a wife and children. Carl gets fired from his job. Billy Ray's brother Freddie Lee wants revenge against Carl, so Freddy gets the help of the KKK. A KKK member trying to plant a bomb under Carl's lawyer, Jakes, porch. Jake secretary and her husband are also attacked by the KKK. The day the trial begins, there is a riot outside the court building between the KKK and the area's African-American people, and Stump Sisson is killed by a Molotov cocktail, thrown from a roof by one of Carl's sons. KKK burning crosses in the whole Canton. The National Guard is called to Canton to keep the peace during the trial. Freddy continues his efforts to get revenge on Carl for Billy Ray's death. Carl's lawyers put everything they've got into Carl defense.
