Filmanalyse af 'A Time to Kill'

The movie “A time to kill” is about a black family. The daughter of the family, Tonya, has to buy food for the family. When she is in the store, 2 men come in and buy some beers. They are drunk. When Tonya is going home, the 2 men are driving behind her. They throw a beer at her bag and then they rape her. When the mother finds out, that Tonya has been raped, she calls the father, Carl Lee Hailey and he comes home fast.

The 2 men are going in to the trial and in that time Carl Lee are going in and shoot them. He kills the 2 men and hit a policeman in the leg. Now Carl Lee goes to a lawyer called Jake Brigance. He has to defend him in the trial. At the moment, Carl Lee is in jail. A clan called Ku Klux clan don’t want that Carl Lee is going to be freed. They hate black people. The Ku Klux clan is white people, who are dressed in white clothes and a white mask. Jake Brigance does a lot for Carl Lee and he gets a kind of an assistant called Ellen Roark. They work nice together.
