I'd like to welcome all of you today, my name is [NAVN A], and I study at London School of Economics.

I am here today to talk about the riots in the streets of London, and I hope you will find what I say interesting.

The questions I will take up is, how did this happen? and why did it escalate so much? and what can we do to prevent similar situations in the future?

So if we start with the first question, how did this happen?

As I see it there is some major reasons why this happened.

First of all, most of the people on the streets looting and destroying the city was under 25, and a big percentage of that was even under 20. They destroyed their own neighborhoods, and these neighborhoods the population density is thick and the opportunities of getting a job thin. And with this in mind you can say the young people hadn't anything else to do, and with no prospects for the future, they didn't care about the consequence and felt no responsible for their action, they just needed an excuse.

Another reason is the increasing inequality in Britain.

Over the past years the wages, wealth and the common changes in life have become less equal.
