I have chosen this subject because I find it very exciting and interesting to know more about the biggest pop star in the world. Because Michael Jackson is more than just music.
2. Who was Michael Jackson?
Michael Joe Jackson was born in August 1958 in Gary, Indiana, USA and is known as MJ as well as the “king of pop”. This was not a title that he gave himself. It was given to him by his millions of fans around the world.He was one of the most successful artists, entertainers and pop-icons, who have ever faced this earth. In the 6o’ Michael and his four brothers formed a group together, Michael began his musical career at the age of seven, as the lead singer of this group, which they called “Jackson 5” and the group became a major success.Soon people heard Michael’s voice and they loved it. He got very famous, and got booked to concerts all the time. That continued the next years so he never experienced his childhood and teenage years.
Because of all the pressure, especially from his father, he started concentrating a lot about his look, and he started getting operations to change his nose especially. He also began –mysteriously- to get white skin instead of his original color, black. He said it was a disease, but some think that he was operated. He was getting extremely weird, and you could see in his eyes that he was very unhappy and depressed. Because he never had a normal childhood, he never knew if his friends wanted to be friends with him because of his personality or because he was famous, and he didn’t get any privacy AT ALL.
