Michael Joseph Jackson was born in August 29 1958 in Gary, Indiana, USA and is now known as MJ as well as the king of pop This is not a title that he gave himself It was given to him by his millions of fans around the world He is one of the most successful artists entertainers and pop-icons who have ever faced this earth In the 1960’s Michael and his four brothers formed a group together Michael began his musical career at the age of seven as the lead singer of this group which they called Jackson 5 and the group became a major success He released his first solo recording got to be there in 1971 He began a solo career in 1979 In his solo career Michael recorded and co-produced the best-selling album of all time Thriller which has a worldwide sale of a total 550 million copies After Thriller Michael continued to release chart-topping albums like Bad, Dangerous, History and invincible from 1988 to 2005 Jackson lived on his Neverland Ranch property where he built an amusement park and private zoo Michael has received thirteen Grammy Awards and charted thirteen number-one singles in the USA In November 2006 the World Music Awards announced that Michael Jackson had sold over 1000 million records worldwide making him to the best-selling music artists of all time the same year he was named the most successful of all time by Guinness World Records It was Michael Jackson who invented the moonwalk which is a kind of dance which is very difficult to do In 2005 Michael was accused for sexual abuse against a child and he went to court several times Unfortunaly he did not went to jail because the court meant that he was not guilty Michael Jackson’s incredible career will be remembered forever in the history of music no other performer in history has generated the massive sales that he has No other performer in history has received as many awards and accolades as he has No other performer in history draws the kind of excitement which he does And no other performer in history has done so much in the way of humanitarian efforts than he has There has never been one like him before and there will never be one like him again He is in a class all by himself.
