Mike Huskins lives in a high-rise flat(page 2 line 23). After Mike had a nervous breakdown he was recommended by his doctor to paint once a week as some kind of occupational therapy. Even though Mike didn't take his painting seriously he was still painting quite good after 6 months. Mike lives a scheduled life as he is painting every Sunday. On Saturdays he helps his father in a hardware store in Brooklyn and weekdays he works for a publishing house. Mike is about 30-40 years old as he has got a frown on his left eye (page 1 line 6). Mike didn't know that

Mike was on a Sunday morning about to complete his second self-portrait which was far better than his first, but then he heard the ballplayers noise and he stopped his brush for a null. The ballplayers were very loud as they were playing and it didn't bother Mike so much at first until one Sunday where one of them tumbled over some bushes. It was not just any bushes it was bushes that Mike himself had put there for two reasons. The first reason was to hide a wall which Mike found ugly and the second reason was because it was the only spot in the yard where the bushes could get sunlight. Mike shouted nicely and told the ballplayers not to go against the bushes. Mike knew that the ballplayers only played on Sundays which may have been one the reasons he got so angry with them (page 2 line 30). Mike couldn't concentrate when the ballplayers made their usual noise to finish his self-portrait.
