I have never in my life experienced what I have experienced today. I was just walking around in New Delhi trying to find some scraps and some bottles so I could sell them for rupees. After walking some time I was about to be on the edge of the city. I could easily see a difference from the center of the city, where there was a lot of beggars and a lot of homeless, but there is also walking rich people around, walking from there office on their way to a meeting or just to their big car parked in a parking house. But after walking this far I walked into a whole street with only homeless people, they lived in the abandoned buildings. But they weren’t just homeless people, they were people with only one leg, some maybe had no arms and it was so crazy to see this, they were about 30-55 years old and have never in their entire life seen anything else than these buildings, I had no idea how they got food or just how they survived, it was so unrealistic so see people be this hurt and poor. That was really such an eye-opener for me, and I decided to never in my life, end a place like that. So I immediately walked away but I could hear someone following me and I wasn’t doubting one second that I walked into a wrong zone of the city. I slowly began to run and I looked behind me and there was I blind man from that zone who was following me, with such a speed, but I was faster and got away. After this day, I will work like an ant to NOT end up in those streets. I will still steal, I will still sell scraps and I will still be homeless. But I will not give up, my life is to short.
