Write a summary of “Teens lack of sleep an ‘epidemic’: Doctor” in about 150 words

The article, Teens lack of sleep an “epidemic”: Doctor by Paula Baker was published by Global news on 14th September 2015, deals with teenager’s sleep habits and them not getting enough sleep. Teenagers are using their electronics at night instead of sleeping. The percent of teenagers sleeping with their phone under the pillow is on 95%. The sleep is important for the brain because it’s a chance for it to regenerate and help it grow. In your sleep you memorise tracks of the work you did the previous day and when you are a teenager you need about nine hours of sleep per day, but they sleep two to three hours less than they should. Parents haven’t made it a priority to get enough sleep but prioritises homework instead, and teens have made responding to text messages a priority instead. Parents have to help their teenagers to get a new sleeping pattern.
