It was a beautiful morning, the sun was out and it shined up the fog on the grass. The birds were singing loudly, and it almost sounded more joy full than de use too. Today is my first day of work, finally after several years of studies it all comes down to this, to use what we had learned and use it in the real world. I decided to be a teacher already when I went to middle school, I thought it would be amazing to share knowledge with others and maybe leave a memorable print in someone’s life. I remember my first teacher very well. She was not very tall, and she always wore a skirt accompanied by a sweater in some funky colour. I stood in front of the mirror, what should I wear? And try not to make the same fashion flop that my own teachers made. Should it be professional and up tight? or more casual and vibrant? In the end I choose a simple outfit, jeans and a neutral shirt.
Today it was my turn to step in and be the special teacher for some child in my new classes, I was so excited that I could hardly eat anything. The school was not far away from my home, I could go on my bicycle in only five minutes time. When I first got to the school, I was very disorientated, I didn’t know where anything was, I stated my day by searching for the teachers room, I could not wait to meet my new colleagues! After going around in the halls, who all looked alike! for some time, I finally ran into an adult, he was a math teacher in some of the older classes and he kindly showed me where to go. The teacher’s room was a big room with several tables sat in a horseshoe, very pedagogical I thought. I quickly got to meet my fellow colleagues, but did not have the time to do much more than to present myself, before the bell rang. I started to get goose bumps! I had spent the last few days thinking how my classes would be like, and now I was so close to finding out.
