Miss Sidley is a first-grade teacher. one day, while she's teaching spelling, Sidley gets the feeling that one of her students is staring at her. She turns around and notices that Robert, has his eyes focused on her. During the week, miss Sidley “punish”, Robert for staring at her. Robert taunts her by asking her if she wants to see him "change", which he does and that scares her so much, that she runs screaming out on the street and is nearly run down by a bus.
After the bus incident, does she take some time at home. After some time, he returns Robert taunts her about there being more creatures at school, hiding as normal children. They have replaced the real children and have become their doppelgangers.
The things Robert says to Miss Sidley, makes her terrified. She takes out her dead brother's pistol from a drawer and puts it in her purse. That day at school, she takes twelve of her students to a test in a room where there’s no sound and shoots the twelve children.
Miss Sidley is sent to a mental institution after the murders. She works with preschoolers each day for therapy. One day she feels the fear that drove her to her to kill the children and asks to be removed from the room. When she is taken away, are some of the children watching her, like they are also doppelgangers. And that night commits miss Sidley suicide by slashing her throat.
