The Social Network is a 2010 American drama film directed by David Fincher and written by Aaron Sorkin. Adapted from Ben Mezrich's 2009 book The Accidental Billionaires, the film portrays the founding of the social networking website Facebook and the resulting lawsuits.

The film is about Facebook's early years, when the 19 -year-old student Mark Zuckerberg gets a good idea on creating a social network with his best friend Eduardo Saverin. Private Mark Zuckerberg created a website called ”Facemash”. This site was only to school students to upload various photos of the girls at the school. The site was very popular among the guys. However the girls at the school did not approve of the website. He was then offered to create a website by three guys. He thought the boys had some good ideas and then he stole the ideas and made the website himself because he knew that they could not create it without him. The mission succeeded and Mark Zuckerberg created the website ”Facebook”. He was accused of stealing the idea from fellow students at Harvard. In reality Mark Zuckerberg did not steal the website, he did it all by himself and did not use any of the boys codes. He just stole the idea to create a global website.
