“In my country we go to prison first and then become President.” - Nelson Mandela.

This quote was said directly to the old government, he said it in provocation and disappointment. Nelson Mandela thought the government was corrupted or was another sort of cheating to get their position. He was right, I think. The government killed many people a day. The problem isn’t about the things that South Africa has. It was the society. The black people didn’t want to just give up and follow the “white” rule. They want their own.

But the government didn’t want to stop the apartheid. They did the exact opposing. They slaughtered the black people for no reason, maybe they’ve got a reason that we just don’t know? I can’t understand how a normal human can do this to a country they took over. I can’t see why there should be a difference between black and white. The government was so scared of the freedom fighters. If they said anything bad about their opinion, they were either killed or imprisoned.

If more than 20 people gathered in one place, it was described as a demonstration or illegal reunion. If the police discovered the reunion could the 20 people get killed. The government was and still is corrupted. Because of that, the leader of South Africa could be the wrong, and that might lead to a country where the poor is abounded or the diseased couldn’t get help.
