Role Models: Why is it important to have one?

It’s important to have a role model because we need a goal in life, I think. Something that we can get inspired by and to motivate us. My personal role model, is Cristiano Ronaldo. In 2009, Ronaldo gave £100,000 to the Maderian hospital that treated his mother when she was battling cancer. He also sold the golden boot he had won in 2011 for €1.5 million in order to fund schools and help children in Gaza. He said: “I am not a perfectionist, but I like to feel that things are done well. More important than that, I feel an endless need to learn, to improve, to evolve, not only to please the coach and the fans, but also to feel satisfied with myself. It is my conviction that here are no limits to learning, and that it can never stop, no matter what our age.” And that’s really inspiring me.
