In text 1 Why I love my strict Chinese mom from 2011, in this part Sophia Chua-Robenfeld the daughter Chua tells about her childhood and the method her mother raised her and her sister. They were raised tough but justly. This taught them to be more independent both as children and as adults. She tells ?You?ve pushed yourself, body and mind, to the limits of your own potential? L. 69-70, they learned to be strong and to believe in themselves, despite it taking hard work before it succeeds, a quality who Sophia Chua-Robenfeld also uses to this day in her life.
