Reason: I was really in doubt about which topic I would like to do a five minute presentation about. But I decided the topic difficult love. It’s not that I really enjoy spending my time reading love stories and films about all that topic. That’s not the reason. Instead I find all the different reasons that occur and makes love even more complicated than it already is interesting. Depending on which culture and religion you belong to, and which part of the earth you were born in There’s a tremendous obstruction that prevents love and makes it difficult, and that’s what I am going to talk about.

Gift: In link with the topic Coming of age we have been listening to different texts and read some of them as well, and I thought that the text gift was one of the only texts that had something in common with my topic. The text was about a western girl who lived with her parents somewhere in Africa, during her stay in Africa she met a boy named “Gift” and she fell in love with him, and she thought that she had a boyfriend. But as the story went on, he showed his future bride, which of cause was a shock for her. I think this is a pretty good example of which influence cultures or different societies can have on relationships. In gifts society it’s normal that marriages are arranged, probably gift’s parents had an arranged marriage and Gift has to follow the same pattern.
