From a Danish point of view, most people would actually look on USA as the country that you just have to go – but if you dig deeper into it, how would you live there according to the educational part, the healthcare, the people and how different it is, compared to Denmark.
The real question is, how does living in Denmark, in your view, differ from living in the USA?
In Denmark we have a welfare state, that means we doesn’t have to pay for education, healthcare, dentist, libraries – well we do, but in Denmark we’re standing together and we’re helping everyone in the community. In Denmark we have socialism, this means that everyone gets a chance in Denmark, it’s just taking the decision to actually do something about the chance you’ve gotten. On the other hand we have the USA. Lots of the people in USA is having this kind of liberalistic mindset and they believe that you’re your own king, you take the decision to do something about your life – I do agree with some of the liberalistic points, but the education and the healthcare is a major problem in USA.
It is depressing to think about how much talent that actually goes to waste in USA on the educational part. The depressing part is that, the students that want to attend college or universities are not able to do it, because their parents made bad decisions in their lives that forced them into a bad economic state. Of course, there is scholarship, but that’s for winners of competitions or sports – if those kids goes to competitions they might have bad luck or they’re being nervous and they do not win it. As a conclusion of the educational part in the USA. No, I would not go study there, because my own economic state – however, if I had more money, then yes.
