Hi there, my name is [NAVN A]. I'm 15 years old and live in Colorado, a small drive away from Denver. I’m currently in high school named Grandview. It's my freshman year. So far it's great, they have the best facilities for swimming and we are a strong team of 18 D1 swimmers who compete internationally. In my free time I like to watch swimming or football, especially when the Denver Broncos play. Somedays I help out at the Iron ranch which is our family ranch. It has been in the family for a little over a 100 years now.
I would like to participate in the New York youth camp. I think that everybody should have the same opportunities no matter skin color or background. Although I live a happy and wealthy life it doesn't change the fact that a lot of people don't. A lot of people don't have the same opportunities as someone like me, and for most they haven’t even decided that themselves. You can't control your skin color, where you are born and if you are born rich or poor. Why ain’t we treating homeless people like we treat refugees? refugees can seek asylum free of charge while there isn't yet found a solution for the homeless. Here in America we are really lucky to have the welfare system we have, I will never take that for granted. But even though I consider our wealthfare system great here in the US, it doesn't mean that a lot of other countries aren't far ahead. Let's take Denmark for instance. Denmark is a small but all around a great country. But what's special about Denmark is their wealthfare system. Denmark is far ahead when it comes to welfare. There aren't really any homeless(Only a few) and you have the same opportunities no matter what. Here in America we are not quite there but we are working on it and someday the welfare system is gonna be that good too. I would like to find out other peoples opinions on this topic and that is why i would like to participate in the new york youth camp.
