Danskernes lykke: velfærd, tryghed og kultur

I think that the reason Danes is the world's happiest people, is because we get everything we need. In other countries where people spend a lifetime, saving enough money for college, young Danes get paid to go to school. Even homeless people in Denmark are having a pretty good life, compared to other countries, where they starve to death. In Denmark, the social authority helps everyone in need, and they make sure that we are happy and satisfied. If you don't have any job, or got fired, they'll support you until you can provide yourself again. It is also becoming easier to get an apartment as a young adult. We live in a beautiful land, with extraordinary landscape and exciting culture. We are open and welcoming towards new cultures, new people and new ideas. We have good schools, medical support and social authorities. There is nothing to complain about. I'm not saying that Denmark is perfect and the absolutely best country to settle down in.

But we have it pretty good. Of course there are lots of reasons to be happy in Denmark, but the reason why, each individual are happy depends on million things. And what is happiness? I believe it is very individually, and very different from person to person. To some, happiness is to grow up, get a decent job, getting married and have kids. But for a lot of people happiness equals dreams. To follow your dream, and live life to the fullest, who would be sad if they spend every day doing what they love? But today more and more people are beginning to spend money they haven't earned, to buy things they don't need, to impress people they don't like. So in the end it might seem like, instead of you chasing your dreams, your dreams will be chasing you. Happiness takes lots of different shapes, and it is up to each person to find their own happiness. But why Danes are specifically the "happiest". I believe, is because we have the best environment to grow up in, create and live out our dreams. Another reason to be happy is because that we are feeling safe.
