The little boy is feeling overwhelmed on his first day of school, and is having a lot of thoughts and feelings, that he is describing very well. I think the boy is feeling a little left out by the other kids, he feels like they have been living there entire lives on a playground, and that he’s the new kid on the block, who isn’t as involved in the games as the others. The little boy is almost afraid of class, and sounds somewhat scared of the unknown.
I remember my first day of school. I remember the impressions I got, all at once. I remember being super excited for my first day of school. It was as if I suddenly grew up, because now I was spending my day with the big kids. I was spending my day getting smarter; just like the cool kids. I remember stepping in to the school for the very first time. It was extremely overwhelming meeting all these new people.I was feeling like a little part in a huge puzzle, and I was feeling very small compared to the amount of people surrounding me. I remember my first class, and the teacher’s friendly smile, and all of my new classmate’s presence, making me shiver of excitement. I could not be any happier in that exact moment. I remember turning to my mom, and telling her that I was quite sure I just became a big girl. I remember our teacher telling us about this fun game, where we should throw around a tennis ball, and you had to say your name when you got the ball. I remember this girl whit huge blond hair and the most beautiful curls catching the ball, and saying her name was Luna. She threw the ball to me but clumsy as I was, I didn’t catch the ball. After that I never forgot Luna. The Classroom was small and cozy, with these beautiful furniture’s with the most amazing flower print all over them. I remember the playroom in the corner; I remember the huge pillows flying around, and my stomach turning in eager to join the others in the playroom right away.
