1. First day at school

I think that the poem describes very well, how the little boy feels about his first day at school. For example, "All around, the railings. Are they to keep out wolves and monsters?" You can tell by the poem how curious and nervous the boy is. Because he didn't have a clue about what school is like, that's why he is so nervous. It is a little bit difficult to understand the poem, especially the last verse. I understand the last line, in the last verse "Tea-cher" as he doesn't know anything about school. My first day at school wasn't like that at all, I remember how excited I was, and couldn't wait to start. My thoughts was like, how is the classmates, how does the class room look? Etc. My first day at school was very funny I remember, I was so excited and the day before I couldn't sleep. My mom keeps telling me that I should sleep, so I could get up and go to school the next day. Then after a couple of hours I fall asleep. In the morning my mom came in to my room and wakes me up, I was already waked up, and have the biggest smile on my lips. First I brush my teeth, then took my clothes on, and eat breakfast. While me and my mom sad there and eating breakfast my mom said, that is was my big day and she is also excited about it. We talked a lot about the school that morning; I remember how excited we both were. A week before I started at school me and my mom had brought me a school bag; it has everything within, a little bag to athletic, a pencil case, and much more. I was really grateful for it. I could not wait to use it. My mom drives me to school that day, she had take a day off from work, to be there with me, the first school day. When we arrived to the school the first thing I saw, were a lot of people standing outside the school, with the flag up. My best friends from the kindergarten were also there. They had also their first day at school, so I was not alone. I looked after my best friends, and went over to them. We gave each other a hug and our parents said, hey to each other. Then one of the teacher calls up the classes, and then she call up our name. When she had done that, we got split up to our classes. All the children find a seat and sat down, while the parents stand behind their children. I was so lucky I get into the same class with my two best friends from the kindergarten, Kim and Dana. While we sat in the class I was very excited about what we were going to do. I looked around, it was a very bog classroom, but we were also many pupil. The classroom was brown, and there was a lot of pictures around I the classroom. After some times the teacher came in and said: "welcome 0.A; this is your classroom and your new classmates. We are now going to play a name game, so we all can learn each other names." Then we started from an end, first we have to tell what our names are, and then we told a little bit about our self. I told my name, how old I was and, where I live. We were 24 in my class, so it takes a long time. When we were finish, the teacher said that we should make a little book about each other. So the one beside me had to interview me and I had to interview her. Her name was Julia, and she had brown hair and green eyes. While I was interviewing her, I wrote it all down. I found out that she goes to swimming I her spare time, I also swim, so I find that really interesting. So she and I had a lot to talk about. After about a half hour, the teacher asks everybody if we were finish. We all were finish, then she said we all had to find a new place, and tell another the things we just had wrote
