To the person who finds this bottle: I am so glad that you have found my message! My name is [NAVN A] and I am fifteen years old. I live in USA with my mom and dad, but right now, I am far from home. Actually, I am not quite sure where I am. About four months ago, I was kidnapped in my hometown. It was a beautiful summer day and I was on my way home from school. Then he just stood there. A tall man with a knife pressing into my left shoulder blade .He told me to jump in his big black car. There were not any people near us. I was terrified that he was going to kill me if I said no. I got a blindfold for my eyes and he pushed me into the back of the car. We drove for days and it was getting hotter and hotter. I think we were on a ferry one time. However, after being on the roads for about a week, we arrived. I was afraid. I did not know what he would do to me. He kept me in a little room. It was relative comfortable. I was very lucky under the circumstances. You hear many stories with kidnapped kids, and they are kept in a cold basement. But not me. It was very hot here, and the room was simple but clean. As for food, I got mostly fruit and vegetables. I did not get meat, except for fish once a week. As for hygiene, I did not ever was allowed to take a shower. So yeah, I stink. However, one day I managed to escape. I ran for a very long time, until I found the seashore where I am now. I have never been here before but I guessed that I was far away from the kidnapper. There is a harbour not long from here. The seashore is kind out outlandish. I am the only one here, and it looks like there has not been any in a long time. I tried to talk to some of the people on the harbour, but no one speaks English. All I got out of them was that I am in Portugal. I do not know which city, but Portugal for sure. Here is what I want you to do: Call the police and make them contact my parents. I wrote my address in the top of the letter. My parents’ names are [NAVN B] and Robert Landon. Make them run an investigation over here. Make them call the Portuguese police department and make them look for me. Say that I am near the coast. I will stay near the seashore and harbour. All I want now is to get home. No one over here understands me. Please. Help me.
