2. How were the African Americans in the south discriminated against in the movie? - They would get beaten up, or killed. Their houses would get burned and they could not out whenever they wanted to because every black person was in danger. 3. What is Ku Klux Klan and what is the clan's mission? - The KKK is an origination who was against any race who was different than the”whites". However, they were especially out for black people. Their mission was to preserve this segregation. 4. Why would the African American not talk to the FBI? - The African Americans did not want to talk to the FBI because they have heard what the Ku Klux Klan had done to black people that had been telling the FBI about the activity in Ku Klux Klan. 5. " Hatred is not something you are born with - hatred is taught". How do you feel about this statement in regards to racism? - I think that it is a good statement, because no one is born with hate, it all depends on how a person is raised. 6. Explain what you think is meant by wards comment to Anderson: ”Some things are worth dying for" and the reply " some things are worth killing for " - I think that it is meant to mean that the African Americans civil rights were worth dying for and also killing for.
