I want to talk about The Maoris that is the original residents of New Zealand.

Some researchers has made a theory that says that the Maoris is from Polynesia.

With Materials like rocks and wood, the Maoris build and hunted for living.

The population was originally split op in tribes, with a chief in front.

The tribes was in lot of wars, so they could get slaves and food.

The old (and dead) members of a tribe bones was used to do a type og “magic”.

Instead of smile and hugging, the Maoris are dancing their joy.

When the Maoris were in war, they danced the Haka dance.

There has just been rugby world cup, where you can see the Haka dance.

They arrived to the island 700 years ago and in the 1800´s Steve Cook sailed to the island and named it “NEW ZEALAND” and made Union Jack the national flag.

They arrived in canoes from the Polynesian and they lived at the North island.

All around the world there is 790.000 people left and in New Zealand there is 632.900 people left.
