While you read the text, you can see that the narrator uses ?I? often. An example that can relate to it is one of the sentences on (l. 1 p. 1) where he says ?I was eleven and my to buddies?.? From here you know that he is a first-person narrator. There are much more of these examples through the text you encounter in. The narrator is eleven years old and has two close buddies who he leads. You can agree that he is the main leader of the group they formed themselves, because on page 41 where they?re holding a kangaroo court, the narrator gives the orders to Hass and Morgan. He is watching while they?re completing.
