Karakteristik af Dave og Liz fra 'Are You Experienced?'

This is a characterisation of both the protagonist, Dave, and one of the main characters Liz, from the book “Are You Experienced?” by William Sutcliffe

Dave

Dave is a 19-year-old student from England. He likes to plan everything ahead because he always wants to have an overview of the things, which surround him. He is a very isolated person. He doesn’t have that many friends and it’s pretty rare for him to go out and meet new people. One of Dave’s main traits is his jealousy towards his friend James’ girlfriend Liz, because he badly wants to be together with her, but she doesn’t want to be with him, since she is in love with James. That jealousy is also shown when Dave and Liz meet Jeremy in India. “He’s [Jeremy] giving you the eye since the minute you walked in the room, […].” (p.16, ll. 9-10). “That’s why I don’t like him.” (p. 16, l. 13). Dave doesn’t really like travelling and just the thought of going to a dirty and poor country made him gag, but when Liz came with the idea of him and her going to India alone, he didn’t think twice, thinking that he would finally get together with her.
