The Death of Tommy Grimes The short story starts off rather slowly, but it immediately draws you in, and you want to know more about what’s going on. Tommy is lying in the grass for some reason, and we, as readers, don’t know why. Yet. After a series of flashbacks, we find out that he’s on a hunt with his father, and apparently Tommy is on his first hunt and is being taught how to shoot a weapon. From here on out, we sort of get a grip of what’s going on and we aren’t as confused anymore. The story
