My escape

My name is Tayler, I am 19 years old and I am working on a farm, with 20 other black people and 3 of them are my brothers. It`s hard work, and many of us don’t want to work here anymore. It`s bad conditions, we don`t get enough food, money or Spare time.Some of us have decide to run away to night. We don’t trust anybody. I am so nervous, and afraid that we are going to get trap and send back to the farm. The oldest black on the farm is Chris, he had tried to run, but he got cut a mile away from the farm. He said to me “if you are going for the run, then you have to follow the river, it`s more safe” We are 3 there are going for the run, to night. It`s me, one of my brothers, and a girl named Lucy.Lucy is 13 years old, and her mother placed her here on the farm, because she could not afford to have a baby, so she gave Lucy away for some money, that she could use on the rest of the family, so they could afford some better conditions.when the darkness came, we met with the woods on the edge of the farm. We had all packt a little bag. In mine I got some food, a blanket, a rope, a knife and a picture of my family.we rand along with the river. We rand all night long and the next day too. When the darkness come again, my brother stopped in the middle of the trees, he landed with his face right down in the mud. He pass out because of the tiredness.
