A Short Horror Story: The Action Figure

The morning of his birthday, Luke’s mother woke him up and showed him a package that had arrived in the mail and it was addressed to him.

Luke quickly unwrapped the package and was disappointed at what he found inside. It was the most disgusting action figure he had ever seen. It was completely bald and its skin was cracked and caked in dirt. It had an orange jail suit. The worst thing of all was its purpose. The action figure could not move a limb at all. What could you do with it?

With a shiver, he took the action figure and threw it in the corner. His mother scolded him, telling him that someone had gone to a lot of trouble to send him this action figure. His mother told him he had better appreciate it.

Luke tried to convince his mother but she would not listen. She forced Luke to keep the action figure even though he hate it. Therefore, to put her mind at rest Luke stuffed the action figure into the little cupboard under the stairs, behind a pile of jackets where he would not have to look at the ugly, evil little thing.

It was not until a few nights later, when Luke was doing his homework he heard a noise.....a shuffling sound, which went on for about five minutes. Then, a brief dragging noise and finally, a scuttling like light footsteps walking very fast.
