Braveheart is a film about the Scottish national hero William Wallace, the film is from 1995. Mel Gibson is acting as William Wallace. The genre is drama, action and adventure. The film starts back to William Wallace childhood, where you get an experience of what environment it is they live in. His father dies, he gets killed in the war against England. William experiencing the hard way how King Edward rules Scotland. When William become parents loose, takes his distant uncle care of him. They take off and travel, William learn first about the language and culture before he learn how to handle a weapon. When William becomes a grown man, he travels back to his hometown. He finds his true love he secretly marries. Because some men will heart and have sex with Williams wife does he revolt, he gets mad and do stupid things. The King is coming and it ends up he murder Williams wife, after that where is nothing he could take from William. William wants his country back and goes to war against England's king. That starts the whole point of the film.

I think it is a really good movie. William Wallace was a very brave man. The weaknesses in the film is perhaps it is so long, I got the feeling that now it soon ends, which then goes really long time. So when it finally ended it just feels wrong, as if it should have been longer. The strengths sides in the film is the way they present the story, it's an amazing story, and the film really goes in depth into how the Scottish farmers had it and how they were treated. But not at least how they went up against the king. This is something Scotland can really be proud of.
