First of all, I don’t think the shows should be called ‘’talent’’ shows. They don’t showcases real talent, sure some of the people that are on the shows can sing, but it’s all about making fun of the untalented contestants. Sure it’s fun to watch the first season, but it has come to a point where it’s all about making money and making people laugh. And that is not talent.
X-Factor – the show X-Factor came to Denmark in 2007-2008 it’s a song contest where normal people can sign up for audition and sing in front of three famous names from the music industry and maybe go thru to live shows and win some money.
The show is not what I would call a serious show, because as much as it is about singing, it’s mostly about those ignorant people who think they actually got a chance of winning.
Sure there are some talented contestants that can go on and maybe release a CD and be famous for half a year. But mostly it’s about people getting their 15 minutes of fame, because if I think really hard I can’t remember when I last heard about some of the past winners from Denmark, they release one album and then their career dies.
