I have chosen the topic “the negative sides of sport” because I have a personal interest in this topic. Next year I´m going to live at a sports boarding school – and I’m going to work out 10-15 hours a week. But that´s just a good thing for me, because I like working out and I almost only feel the positive sides of sport – And that´s why I also want to know a bit about the negative sides of sports, so it not only the positive sides of sport I have in mind.
INJURIES ON YOUR BODY
The first thing I want to talk about is injuries on your body. When you turn on your television and watch a football or handball match, you will often see one of the players get hurt or get some kind of injury. Maybe they get a ball shoot in their head or get tackled by another player. And you might even have tried it on your own. But of course there´s different kind of injuries, given that there´s a lot of different kind of sports. In football you will often see injuries on the players ankle or knee, but the injuries on surfers are often at the shoulder, neck or elbow. So there´s always a risk for getting injuries, no matter what sport you play or practise – but it depends were you have the biggest risk to get an injury.
