Nelson Mandela was an important person when we talk about apartheid. He fought and fought, and he never stopped. He was born on 18th July in South Africa. He started already in school as 7-year old´s, which is very timely in his family.

How was it to sit in jail for 27 years?
It was hard. I thought it was crap to sit in jail for 27 long years. I just sat inside my room all day long and never came out. The food was really bad, and I got not so much food. It is so unfair that it was me who came to prison, just because I fought against Apartheid. Sometimes there were letters from my wife. Before the letters came into me, they were torn into small pieces, so I could not read it.
