While waiting for someone to open the door, he was thinking about how this new year in USA would be, how this family would receive him and how school would be in a new country. Everything was new here, and he was quite nervous but also excited. Did he even know what he has gone in to? A lot was going through his mind until the door opened…
“Hello, you must be Toby”, a very happy lady said. “Come in and say hello to the rest of the family, we have all been looking forward to meet you, we have waited since early morning!” Toby’s face turned into one big happy smiley and he stepped inside the big white house, the family was living in, which also was the house he should live in the next twelve months. “Michael, he is here!”, the lady yelled through the house. Toby heard running children upstairs and suddenly 3 children stood right in front of him and studied him very carefully. Toby just smiled. The lady introduced herself, her name was Alice. Her husband’s name was Michael and the kids’ names was already forgotten, but as Toby should spend one whole year in this house with this family, he would hopefully learn all the names somehow.
