The Shining Mountain is a fairytale written by Alison Fell.
This is a fairytale about a young girl named Pangma-La. Her father named her after a shining mountain, so she will always remain positive and standing tall no matter what will happen in the future. Her father was a mountaineer, so now we know why he named his daughter after a mountain. He promised Pangma-La they will climb the famous mountain called Pangma-La.
Her father was a tough man, never teared a tear. For him, crying is an act of cowardness, it doesn’t matter what happens you should never cry, which in my opinion is a good thing, in life you play or you’re being played it’s our choice and a moment of weakness is a moment of winning for the other player. Pangma-La always wanted to make her father proud and to never disappoint him. It was one of her goals. Since the birth of Pangma-La, she has been expected a lot by the father. She is the son he never got, so she has to follow his footprints. The moral of the story is to not put such a heavy burden on your child’s shoulders, thin what is good for your child and not what is good for you. A child should have the choice to become whatever he or she wants to. The father did not know that he had left her such a burden; he was just lost in a fantasy of his daughter becoming a mountaineer like himself. Her future was already decided from birth, when she got named after a shining mountain.
