Skt. Patrick is Irelands protective saint and national apostle. He was born in the 4th century and is known for bringing Christianity to Ireland. It is a very well known Irish national holiday, celebrated not only in Ireland but all over the world. it Falls on the 17 March.

Skt. Patrick was born of wealthy parents in the late 4th century. until he was 16, he thought of himself as a heathen. he was kidnapped and sold into slavery when he was at the age of Irish marauders. It was while he was trapped, he turned to God.

He managed to escape after having been a slave for 6 years and then he studied for 12 years in a monastery in Gaul. it was there he realized that his calling was to convert all pagans of Ireland to Christianity.
