The date of Christmas is celebrated on was used to replace the pagan worship in Rome on December 25, to celebrate the day of Jesus’ birthday.

Philippines celebrate Christmas like no other in the Asian nation. It is the only country that its people are Christian. We celebrate Christmas very religiously compare celebrating in America, which is mostly about Santa clause and giving gifts. My country celebrates Christmas by attending nine predawn masses called ‘’Simbang Gabi Night mass’’. Eat traditional food like rice cakes, and having a good time with our family.Starting December 16 the weather is brisk and windy at the same time. The church bells and first cockcrow awaken the people of the town to go to church and to pray for a joyful and merry New Year. Every year each community/provinces in the Philippines have pageants and festival of parols (star lanterns)

‘’In our Philippine Christmas tradition, we start making food in the morning until in the afternoon. We really like to make so much food. We make desserts and etc. Starts of the month of December the children’s make a caroling music and they will also got money if they really sing nicely and good. We eat our Christmas food at 10 pm and at exactly 12 nn,its there were we start saying merry x’mas, hugging each other, giving money and at last but not the least the gift. We also do it here in Denmark. But we mixed Philippine and Denmark Christmas tradition.’’
