For my B2 project, I have chosen to work with Navy Seals, because I find the subject very interesting and exiting. It’s also been a big dream for me that I some day could have the opportunity to get accepted as a Navy Seal. I want to find answers to the following questions;

What is a Navy Seal?

What kind of jobs do the Navy Seals solve?

What kind of equipment do Navy seals use?

How hard is it the Navy seal training, compared with the ordinary military training?

Can I, as a Dane, get accepted in the Navy Seals?

I want to seek information on the Internet and in books. I have planned my work in the following way: First I want to find a lot of information, then write some notes and last I will begin to writing the project.

What is a Navy Seal?

The “Navy Seal” was formed in January 1962 by President of the United States, John F. Kennedy with the primary function to fight against guerrilla warfare, which JFK. realized would be the “battle of the future”

The ordinary Seal is a special trained young male soldier who is highly motivated and physically active with an immense self-control and an extreme high tolerance to pain. He is capable of handling very hard and extreme missions, along coasts, deltas, off shore and sometimes inland, but there is much moor than that behind the name “Navy Seal”. The name comes from SEa Air and Land which means that the “Seal” can work in almost the entire world, under all circumstances ex. On the sea in a boat, flying in the air with a plane or patrolling on land. The “Seals” mostly work together in small teams, where each member has his own speciality for example scouting, sniping or heavy assault. In special missions the “Seals” also work alone, with no backup or support and if he gets court his existence will be denied by his country.
