Homosexuality: Born or Raised?

I have always wondered why people are gay. Were they born being gay? Is it in their genes? Or is it because of their upbringing, and what values they were raised with. I remember that I once looked it up on the web, to find out what it is that makes people gay. I went through a lot of websites, but there were no scientifically proved explanations on why people are gay.

Biologically it does not make much sense to be gay. And I’m not saying that because I have anything against gay people. I do not at all. I wouldn’t care if my brother was gay. All I am saying is that it does not make much sense to be gay biologically. But does that make it wrong?

I do not think so. It’s not up for me to decide whether you are going to be a homosexual. It is up to you. It should just be a matter of course that having your own sexuality is okay. Why would it not be?

I do not have anything against people who are homophobic either though. I just disagree with their opnion on the subject. They are humans as well, and they are just as much as I am, allowed to have their own separate opinions on homosexuality. That is one of the key foundation of our society: being allowed to have your own opinon.
