David and his girlfriend Amy had been together the whole vacation. They had been together as a couple since the start of high school, round about four years. David had a huge football talent and got many offers to colleges and together they saw the biggest ongoing opportunity in Maryland. David got a full paid sports scholarship and Amy got a regular scholarship.
David was good at football and coach Miller immediately noticed it. David’s partnership together with his new best friend Justin was great. David and Justin both played center backs and were good at communicating with each other and the team. After the first training, Miller announced that David was going to be the captain. David was stoked about it and the rest of the team agreed on that was the best call. When he got home from training Amy and David talked about the first day. They were both very happy about the first day of college and Amy had even made a deal with an agent to help David with his ongoing career.
David and the rest of the team just stepped onto the pitch for their first match together as a team. They were going to play another college team from New York. Coach Miller had told the players that this was a match, where they had to perform, as there were scouts from several clubs. David and Justin smiled to each other and knew that this was their time to shine. They both played a good match and won the game. Now they just had to wait and see if they got a call.
